The story of Halifax’s sweet mama sauce

It was our pleasure this past weekend to be interviewed by the Patriot Ledger, a local press outlet for the South Shore located in Quincy, MA. Mary Whitfill featured us in her series of stories highlighting South Shore’s farmers, bakers and makers, Uniquely Local. They helped to carefully tell the story of Sweet Mama Sauce from its initial conception as the head chef at Cheever Tavern in Norwell. As someone who did not like hot sauce to someone who now has three seperate recipes for sauce, it’s been quite the ride. We take great pride in the work we do at Sweet Mama and we pour all of that passion back out into our sauces, no pun intended. With some solid exposure from the Patriot Ledger, we hope that our goal of reaching grocery store shelves will be realized soon, along with creating at least a few more sauces along the way. “It's sweet, but spicy. Subtle, but flavorful. New, but classic.”
